In 1999 William White Switchgear was acquired by McGeoch Technology bringing with it a vast amount of experience in the design and manufacture of power distribution and control and instrumentation panels for warships.

Since then this experience has been applied to both naval and commercial shipping applications on a truly international basis and nowadays, McGeoch marine switchgear can be found at the heart of critical power distribution systems in many of the ships and submarines on and under the world's seas and oceans including the British Royal Navy for whom McGeoch manufactures emergency power plugs and sockets exclusively.

A modern warship contains a mass of cabling distributing power and signals. These cables require terminating, signals and power need splitting and the cable entry limits of equipment can be a problem. McGeoch has not only a comprehensive range of tested Junction Boxes, Looping In Boxes and Cable Change Boxes but can also provide a design service to match distribution requirements to space constraints.
